Structure is of waffle-slab design, incorporating big precast concrete pans in post-tensioned monolith spanning between and cantilevering beyond lines of piers on each side of railroad tracks; span skews across space between its abutments, and at same time two outer lanes on each side peel off to form off and on ramps, one about 1000 ft long and other about 600 ft long; techniques used in placing complex of precast pans are described.
