Analytical solution of impact behavior of luminaire support assemblies
Mathematical model used assumes luminaire support assembly to be rigid body under action of constant and time-dependent forces; vehicle impacting assembly is taken as spring-mass system having single degree of freedom; two sets of differential equations govern responses of post system; three different support assemblies studied were impacted at different vehicular velocities and for various approach angles.
