Computer aided analysis and design of tidal channel
Analysis of unsteady flow resulting from tidal action in proposed outfall channel for circulating water system of large thermal power plant is described; approximation which allows unsteady flow phenomena to be represented by equivalent steady-state condition is discussed, and solution of this simplified model by computer analysis is indicated by flow diagrams; comparison is drawn between quasi-steady state solution and more exact solution.
