Effect of compaction on strength of soil-cement
Effect of method of compaction on unconfined compressive strength of soil-cement mixtures for different molding water contents; cement contents and curing time were investigated; two methods of compaction, impact and kneading were used; method of compaction influences unconfined compressive strength of soil-cement mixtures; impact compaction produces higher strengths than kneading compaction for granular soils at all curing ages and molding water contents; for cohesive soil-cement mixtures, rate of strength gain depends on method of compaction.
