Texas coast hurricane flood protection studies
Concept and physical features of comprehensive plan for protection of Texas coastal areas against hurricane floods are described; technical procedures involved in computation of hurricane surge hydrographs on open coast and in inland bay areas are presented, and supplemental hydraulic model studies are discussed; hurricane flood protection plans now under study for both large geographical areas and small localized areas are outlined; typical problems in design and construction of authorized Freeport and Port Arthur Hurricane Flood Protection projects are discussed.
