Site is protected with flexible revetment constructed from machine-produced articulating interlocking tongue-and-groove block developed and patented by Coastal Research Corporation of Glen Burnie, Md; block has specially designed fillets to relieve back hydrostatic pressure, groundwater and accept wave imposed water with internal dispersal and subsequent streaming release; blocks, known as Lok-Gard, are produced from special mold by same machines which manufacture concrete blocks for building industry.
