Fire tests of bulb-type carbon-tetrachloride fire extinguishers
Results of tests on samples of seven different extinguishers ranging in capacity from 0.44 to 175 qt; results showed that bulb type extinguishers, when operated by hand were distinctly less effective than ordinary 1-qt carbon tetrachloride pump gun extinguisher, and when employed as automatic devices were not effective for protection of enclosed space.
