Reinforced concrete grain silos at welwyn garden city
Excellent example of speed at which reinforced-concrete structures may be erected, even under unfavorable weather conditions, when great attention and forethought are given to planning of work and to details of construction; silos have capacity of about 200,000 bu.; work protected by shuttering; whole of walling to 80 ft. height was poured in exactly a fortnight under winter conditions.
