Effect of cement type, aggregate type and mix water content on properties of lean concrete mixes
Report presents details of preliminary tests carried out to assess effect of introducing changes in composition of lean concrete mixes suitable for use in road base construction; effect of using crushed granite aggregate instead of irregular gravel and natural sand is examined using constant mix proportions; relationships are suggested between main properties examined and indication is given of effect of mixing action and of compaction on reproducibility of results.
