Resilient ferry slip with retractable fender system
Design of ferry slip using retractable contact frames, moving inward and upward on bearing brackets with tracks of various inclination is described; rigid frame on which brackets are fastened is explained and its stability analyzed; kinetic energy transmitted to slip by 3000-ton ferry approaching with speed of 3 fps is calculated; energy absorption capacity of various frames of slip under different acting force is determined.
