Fluxed concentrates of sulfide ores used for open hearth heats
Experimental heats were carried out in 3 open hearths at Magnitogorsk combine on ore concentrates of basicities 1.71 and 0. 63; as was anticipated, mean heat duration was shorter than that of standard heats in which ore and lime were used in charging period, while specific fuel consumption was somewhat reduced.
