Effect of test temperature on marshall stability of asphaltic concrete mixtures
Design of mechanical compactor and temperature controlled water bath to determine if empirical relationship exists between stability and test temperature for asphaltic concrete mixtures; use of Marshall method to control mix design in temperature range from 30 to 80 C; 3 different penetration grades of petroleum asphalt were used in preparing test specimens having asphalt contents between 5- and 7% by weight of total mix.
