Aging of asphaltic bitumen
Tests at Netherlands State Road Laboratory on rate and intensity of aging caused by action of oxygen under pressure and without presence of light by keeping thin layers of various types of asphaltic bitumen in oxygen at 60 C and 20 atm for varying number of days, and then measuring changes in penetration figure, softening point and other similar characteristics; materials used were asphaltic bitumens, either as such or mixed with filler, oil or rubber.
