Strength of voussoir arches depends primarily on distribution of dead load and depth of voussoirs; analysis and design problems are essentially same as those of unreinforced concrete arch which may be treated by either usual standard analysis or by limit analysis; methods studied with emphasis on advantages of limit analysis.
