Aggregate for concrete gravity dam near Jinja, Uganda, 85 ft high, is mostly amphibolite with small proportion of river gravel; quarried stone was extracted by shovels and loaded into dumpers which tipped directly into primary gyratory crusher; river gravel was fed to conveyor from overhead hopper, and extracted by Locker electric vibrating feeder; natural sand was conveyed to site by trucks.
