Prestressed concrete slabs for railway bridges
Slabs for single- or multiple-track bridges up to 60 ft long of Western Region of British Railways; deck units are designed to span between centers of main girders, viz, from 12 ft 5 in. to 15 ft 8 in.; deck units in direction of track varying from 5 ft 9 in. to 8 ft 9 in.; top surface of concrete is given two coats of tar and 3-in. joints between units are made watertight with precast concrete tiles set in hot bituminous compound.
