Measurement of moisture differential in concrete pavement slabs
Study of problems associated with measuring variation of moisture contents at various depths of concrete slab; influence of moisture on electric conductivity of material, choice of base material for electric resistance cells, efficiency of resistance cell, and development of cement mortar moisture cells are considered; it is shown that cement mortar electric resistance moisture cells developed by Central Road Research Institute, New Delhi due to their greater sensitivity to moisture than plaster of Paris moisture cells, are more suitable and accurate.
