Moving transformers with a portable bridge
Five power transformers, aggregating 35,000 kva. in rating and 137 tons in weight, were recently transported over 13-mile route involving crossing of eight streams, none of which was provided with bridges deemed safe for loads to be handled; problem was solved by building portable reinforcing bridge 25 ft. long, with portable 5-ft. approaches for each end.
