Resistance of materials to frost action
Hirschwald developed a theory, that completely water-soaked rocks yield to frost action while incompletely water-soaked rocks resist this action; present investigator published method of determining "saturation coefficient," which consists in determining absorption by immersing specimen for 1 to 2 hr.; method is entitled to a place in testing structural materials.
