Tests with press constructed according to H.T.HALL's design (see Engineering Index 1958 p 556); press was found to retain pressure in substance up to 70 katm at 2000 C during several hours; defects of such method lie in difficulty of synchronizing movement of 4 cylinders and in impossibility of reinforcing components subjected to greatest load.
