Electrical measurement of effective cross-sectional area for conduction or flow processes in cement paste
Measurements of formation factor are reported for ordinary and high alumina cement paste specimens with water/cement (w/c) ratios of 0. 28 and 0.5, saturated with water and 1, 3, 7, 14 and 28 days old, and on partially saturated specimens 35 days old; results are used together with permeability data to estimate mean pore radius in ordinary portland cement paste with w/c equal to 0.5, to calculate coefficient of electric resistance, and to give information on role of vapor diffusion in drying of cement paste.
