Hardened cement pastes of low porosity -- Exploratory studies
Results of laboratory tests of low-porosity hardened portland cement pastes showed that clinker can be ground to desired fineness using variety of grinding aids, that proper kinds and amounts of surface-active additives can provide good workability, and that much greater strength of hardened portland cement paste can be achieved; of 13 grinding aids tested with Type I clinker in initial test series, four were selected for more intensive study, based on consistency and 28 day compressive strengths.
