Moisture content and freeze-thaw cycles of masonry materials
Samples of masonry materials were exposed to each of four cardinal points; moisture content and temperature were influenced by nature of material exposed, its geographical location and direction of exposure, and season of year; number of freeze-thaw cycles was considerably influenced by direction of exposure as well as by geographical location; rate of freezing of exposed samples and moisture content when frozen, differed considerably from freezing rate and moisture content used in standard test for brick durability.
