Arch bridge over Moldau at Zdakov
Five hundred forty four m long 13.5 m wide bridge has 382-m center span consisting of two 330-m box-beam steel arches lying in vertical planes at 13 m distance; arches are supported on pivoting bearings fixed to reinforced concrete inclined abutments forming 26-m cantilever; compound beam construction deck is supported by two rows of 45 to 100 cm OD, up to 41 m high tubular hollow steel columns, 26 m c-to-c, their lower ends resting on arches or on small foundations disposed on river banks; bridge was constructed in cantilever by proceeding simultaneously from its both ends.
