Relative effects of convection and radiation heat transfer on thermal comfort (thermal neutrality) for sedentary and active human subjects
Study shows relative effects of convection and radiation on thermal comfort by statistically analyzing thermal sensation responses of many subjects to environments of different combinations of mean radiant temperature (MRT) and air temperature; results of investigation include development of zone of thermal neutrality as function of MRT and air temperature for near-symmetric radiant temperature distribution at sedentary activity and at one higher activity level.
