Concrete piles designed for marine foundations
For drilling platforms 30,000 concrete piles of different sizes and lengths have been manufactured and driven by Creole Petroleum Corp in water depths as great as 110 ft in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela; foundations comprise concrete plumb- and batter-piles; in design level of pile, restraint in soil is taken as being at distance of 10 ft below soil surface; design calculations of bending moments, deflections, eccentricities, and pile measurements are presented.
