Aspects of design and construction of Great Ouse Water Supply Scheme completed this year north of London; conditions determining design of intake and Diddington Dam are set out in detail; water intake from Great Ouse River was prohibited if it would reduce river flows below 30 mgd; design and construction of pumping stations, pipe lines and service reservoirs; 75-ft earth dam is used to impound 12,700 million gal reservoir; upstream dam face is protected by 6 to 12 in. concrete slabs.
