Study of uraniferous slates resistant to leaching; most universal method for leaching uranium ore is to attack slurry in oxidizing sulfuric acid medium; while majority of Spanish ores respond to this treatment, there were some cases of specimens from surface layers whose recoveries are low from practical point of view; several hypotheses on causes were studied and it was established that this concerns specimens in which uranium is to be found in form of solid solution in limonitic matrix.
