Seismic resistivity of extended structures
For approxi-mate evaluation of forces induced in structures during propagation of seismic wave in ground, two design schemes considered to be most typical have been analyzed; first scheme applies to single-story industrial buildings (single- or multi-spanned) in which roof rests upon rather widely spaced separate columns while second scheme applies to conventional buildings with continuous longitudinal walls.
