Supporting forces in uniformly loaded cross-wise reinforced rectangular plates according to theories of plasticity and elasticity
Simple plastic theory method based on determination of rupture lines occurring in fracture deformation is proposed for calculating these plates and determining distribution of supporting forces along edges; it is assumed that breaking moments act along rupture lines, rigid fragments rotate in opposite directions along rupture line, and after fracture plate takes form of inverted roof; sufficiently accurate, simple solution is also given for case of elastic state.
