Nondeterministic wave force on fixed small vertical piles
Abstract The moment generating function and the probability function for non-deterministic wave forces on a small diameter fixed vertical pile are derived for linear, Gaussian waves. The dimensionless force covariance function is obtained by taking the expectation of the dimensionless force. An indefinite integral is obtained which may be conveniently solved using Laplace transforms. These results are compared with previously published covariance expressions.
