Priority ranking—a fuzzy expert system for priority decision making in building construction resource scheduling
AbstractResource allocation is a critical issue in building construction project scheduling. CPM/PERT schedules without resource allocation are today inadequate for baseline control. One major concern in resource allocation is the determination of a priority ranking for all activities that are candidates for assignment. In this paper, an expert system PRIORITY RANKING, which uses possibility theory and the generalized modus ponens logic inference rule to determine the priority ranking, is described.
