A simplified model for wave height and set-up in the surf zone
AbstractBased upon a simple extension of the analytical solution by Dally et al., a closed form expression has been developed for the variation of long-crested regular wave heights in the surf zone including the effect of set-up. The expression predicts wave height and set-up values which compare favourably with experimental data.
