AbstractIn recent months there has been a growing discussion regarding the disparity of the results obtained for Slip Resistance using, in particular, two devices namely the Tortus and the Pendulum. Various papers have been written on the subject, none of which, we believe, get to the heart of the matter; that is with the exception of one paper by T.D. Proctor of the H.S.E. The research for this paper has been greatly influenced by Mr. Proctor's paper which opened up new avenues in the approach to this subject.
