AbstractIn order to assess the climatic structure of cities in applied urban climatology, more and more climatic function maps are designed. An analysis of the climatic conditions in Munich suitable for urban planning in the research program STADTKLIMA BAYERN is done by grid-shape maps of the urban types of surface cover, as well as of thermal images and the results of measurements of the distribution of air temperatures, wind characteristics and air pollution within Munich.
