Linking a program's processes to strategic objectives
Abstract This paper describes a technique that can be used to explicitly relate the activities of the nol-for-profit organization to its strategic objectives. The methodology begins with an empirical analysis of the processes of a program to identify critical tasks. The critical tasks are then related to program goals and objectives through a means-end analysis. The methodology makes explicit a manager's view of the program and assumptions concerning its impact. Applications of the methodology are given.
