Early hydration behaviour of portland cement containing boro-, citro- and desulphogypsum
AbstractPortland cements containing boro-, citro- and desulphogypsum, respectively, were hydrated at water:cement ratio 0.5 for up to two hours and compared with a Portland cement containing high grade natural gypsum hydrated similarly. It was found that the cements containing boro- and citrogypsum produced considerably more ettringite than those with desulpho- and natural gypsum. Comparisons were made with previous investigations of Portland cements containing fluoro-, formo- and phosphogypsum, respectively, hydrated under analogous conditions. Reasons for the observed hydration behaviour of the Portland cements containing the aforementioned chemical gypsums are discussed.
RésuméOs cimentos portlands que contêm o boro-, citro-, e desulfogesso, respectivamente, foram hidratados à proporção água:cimento 0.5 próprio para duas horas, e foram comparados com um cimento portland que conteve um gesso natural duma alta qualidade, que foi hidratado semelhantemente. Se descobriu que os cimentos com o boro- e o citrogesso produziram mais da etringite do que esses que contiveram o desulfogesso e o gesso natural. As comparações foram feitas com as investigações prévias dos cimentos portlands que contiveram o fluoro-, formo- e fosfogesso, respectivamente, que foram hidratados nas condições análogas. As razões para a hidratação observada dos cimentos portlands que contiveram os gessos químicos já mencionados são discutidas.
