Convective heat transfer at internal surfaces
AbstractConvective heat transfer coefficients have been measured at the internal surface of a test cell, which was operated over a range of heating conditions, using a novel device. The measurements have been compared with values of heat transfer coefficients published in the CIBSE guide. The measured heat transfer coefficients have also been used to estimate the convective heat fluxes at the internal surfaces of the test cell which help our understanding of how the heat flows build up when heating systems are switched on.
