Wind-induced lateral-torsional motion of a tall building
Abstract This paper describes a spectral modal analytical method for the wind-induced lateral-torsional response of a high-rise building. This method is based on the modal forces obtained from a force balance. A correction method is also discussed when the mode shape of the modal wind force is different from a real one. This method has been applied for a study of the response of the under-planning building with a height of 232 meters.
