Indoor house pollution: Appliance emissions and indoor ambient concentrations
Abstract Emission rates for CO, NO, NO2 and CH2O from several unvented gas and kerosene heaters frequently employed in domestic heating have been measured. The indoor concentrations generated by these emissions are evaluated and compared to those determined in typical houses. It is found that both the predicted and measured values exceed the short term air quality standards accepted in most countries.
