AbstractA conference on protecting coastal cities from environmental damage was organized by the Union of Local Authorities in Israel, together with The International Union of Local Authorities and the City of Eilat in April 1992. It was sponsored by the Israel Ministries of Education, Environment, Interior and Tourism, the Eilat Hotels Association and Life and Environment (Israel) in cooperation with the CCRE (Conseil des Communes et Regions d'Europe). Dr Raymond Bar-On, formerly with the Israel Ministry of Tourism, reports.
