A FACILITIES POLICY FOR THE 1990s: 1
This is the first of three articles on organisational modelling and its rationale, methodology and application. Developed over the past three years at Hulme Chadwick & Partners, architects and designers, organisational modelling is a technique designed to provide the basis for a long term facilities policy by identifying a company's premises requirements through a complex information-gathering process. Originally developed alongside the practice's involvement in satisfying the growth needs of companies in the financial services sector, organisational modelling is not exclusive to specific industries. It cannot, however, be carried out without computer-aided design (CAD).
