This invention relates to a lock assembly 1 for locking onto a coupling plug 3. The lock assembly 1 includes a housing 2 for receiving the plug 3. The 5 assembly 1 also includes an actuator 4 which is movable between a lock position and a release position. The lock assembly also includes at least one detent 11 which is movable between an active position and an inactive position in response to movement of the actuator between the lock position and the release position. The lock assembly also includes a locking means 5 that when 10 operable retains the actuator in a lock position.
