This invention relates to a bolt assembly 3 for use with a cylindrical lock 5 assembly. The bolt assembly 3 is adjustable to operate in either a relatively long backset mode or a relatively short backset mode. The bolt assembly includes a lock bolt 12 with a draw bar 15 and a tail bar 8. The relative position of the tail bar 8 with respect to the draw bar 15 is adjustable so as to adjust the mode of operation of the bolt assembly between the long back set and short 10 back set.
