A universal end support for a spring assisted roller blind of the type having a first elongate tube mounting a blind sheet for extension and retraction relative thereto, a second elongate tube concentrically within the first elongate tube and a spring mounted relative to at least one end support and between the first elongate tube and the second elongate tube for the storage of tension, the universal end support including an adaptor portion for engaging with a rear end or a ratchet assembly of the roller blind, a spring mounting portion and an elongate finger to be received at least partially within the second elongate tube mounting the spring of the roller blind thereabouts wherein the spring mounting portion is provided with portions of both a left hand thread and a right hand thread. ene C)C
