A frame component for use in a thermally broken framing system, the frame component having at least one wall and one or more connection formations adapted to enable securing the frame component to one or more other frame components or to a fixed 5 structure, wherein in use at least one of the one or more walls is a channel facing wall which, together with another wall of the frame component or a wall of another frame component, defines an internal channel, and wherein the channel facing wall is provided with a thermal fin arrangement including at least one thermal fin extending into the channel and being configured to disrupt convection currents that flow in the channel 10 thereby to decrease the thermal energy transfer across the thermally broken framing system. 42a <-K /--40b 40a 46 42b Figure 4a 40b 42b Figure 4b
