A roller shutter system wherein the slat curtain is mounted to the outside of the drum via a mounting bar. The bar can be readily hooked to or unhooked from the drum allowing the slat curtain to be removed without the need to move the curtain laterally with respect to the drum. This allows the shutter system to be easily maintained whilst in a confined space.
