Abstract A flashing assembly 10 for covering a gap 215 between an external brick wall 210 and an internal wooden frame 220. The flashing assembly 10 comprises a base flashing 20, a counter flashing 30, a base support 40 and an attachment bracket 50. The base flashing 20 is a bent longitudinal sheet comprising a generally horizontal main section 21, a lower panel 23 extending downwardly from a front edge 22 of the main section 21, and a return section 25 extending from a rear edge 24 of the main section 21. The counter flashing 30 is also a bent longitudinal sheet comprising a generally horizontal main section 31, a lower return section 33 extending from a front edge 32 of the main section 31, a generally vertical second section 35 extending from a rear edge 34 of the main section 31, and an upper return section 36 extending from a top edge 37 of the second section 35. There is also provided an outer corner junction cover assembly 60 and an inner corner junction cover assembly 170 for covering the gaps at the external junction 235 and internal junction 240 respectively.
