LOCKING MECHANISM FOR MASTS A locking mechanism for use with a telescopic mast comprising at least a first section and a second section. The locking mechanism comprises a pair of spaced 5 apart rails for mounting to the second section of the telescopic mast and a body slidingly engaged between the pair of spaced apart rails. The body comprises a gear configuration engageable by a pin extending from the first section of the telescopic mast such that extension of the second section of the mast relative to the first section of the mast causes lateral sliding of the body along the spaced 10 apart rails and subsequent retraction of the second section of the mast relative to the first section of the mast causes further lateral sliding of the body in the same direction until the second section of the mast is locked in position under compression relative to the first section of the mast. ~mill& NNS4 5t*kt -s---- ...
