Provided are a storage and a refrigerator, the storage and the refrigerator being configured so as to enable a door thereof to be opened 90 degrees or greater even when installed while a side surface thereof is positioned close to a wall. A cold storage compartment left door (3) for closing an opening in a refrigerator (1) includes a left door frame (28) and a left front panel (31a). A relief section (28a3) is provided at a corner formed by a side surface section (28a2) and a front surface section (28a1) of the left door frame (28). The length of a straight line (C) extending from a panel front surface section (D), which is the thickest portion of the left front panel (31a) in a horizontal cross-section, perpendicularly to an imaginary line extending from the axis of a lower hinge (45) in the direction perpendicular to the side surface section (28a2) is less than the distance (B) from the farthest section of the relief section (28a3) to the axis of the lower hinge (45), and the left end section (G) of the left front panel (31a) is present within a circle having a radius equal to the distance (distance (B)) from the axis of the lower hinge (45) to the farthest section and centered on the axis of the lower hinge (45).
